Cunningham writes eloquently and simply, and gives a very thorough overview of "the basics" of Wicca. Unlike many other Wiccan authors, he doesn't get lost in the religion's dogma, and stresses the simplicity of ritual and worship, and Wiccans' involvement with nature. He encourages you to develope your own sense of Wicca, and doesn't at any stage promote his way of doing things. This book is intended for beginners who practise as solitaries, and its content is eclectic.
