Mr. Clutterbuck, a learned and, as it happens, oversized snail, receives word from an old friend that "the time is out of joint." He sets out to fix it, along with his trusty companion, Poona, and a very unlikely expert they meet along the way. Will they succeed? Not if the chairman of Monotony Inc. has anything to say about it. This book is for ages 8 and up. You might call it a silly story about a serious subject. Anyone who cares about nature and the consequences of environmental degradation, including climate change, should read it. The author sincerely hopes it makes you laugh, even as it makes you think.
