1829. This book is a verbatim reprint of Higgins' "Apology," edited with introduction, critical notes, appendices and a chapter on Islam. The editor thought fit, in some cases, to furnish subject headings to paragraphs, and to add critical notes where necessary. The object of this brochure will have been amply secured it if could convey to any listening mind the greatness of the character of him who reigns over the minds of his followers by the mere force of his character and the love that such a nature inspires, and through him the message which was the marrow of his being.
