Lewis Carroll's two Alice books, first published in 1865 and 1871 respectively, remain to this day two of the greatest and most beloved books of all time. They have been translated into hundreds of languages, and have had an enormous impact on film, television, art, and theatre. This edition is a re-issue of editions published in 1907. They were specially shortened for children, and Tenniel's famous illustrations were coloured. The original font is reprinted. The colouring seems a bit dated by today's standards, but the pictures are still very pretty. The spirit of the original story is present throughout. Overall, this is a perfect little book for Alice-fans everywhere.
