- Indications: Magnesium contributes to normal muscle, carbohydrate metabolism and nervous system function. It assists in the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and maintains normal electrolyte balance.
- Pharmacological Action: Magnesium is an abundant mineral found in many compounds and plays a role in many physiological processes in the human body.
- Adults and children over 9 years of age: Take 1 tablet daily with food.
- Each tablet contains the following active ingredients: 1390mg Magnesium glycinate (amino acid chelate) - Supplying elemental magnesium 200 mg; 500µg Boron
- Inactive ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, isomalt, flexicoat, sodium, starch glycolate, magnesium silicate, magnesium stearate.
- Sugar-free.
- Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Contra-Indications | Safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Vitamin D: Vitamin D assists in the absorption of magnesium. Low levels of vitamin D may thus lead to reduced absorption of magnesium. Biphosphonates: Magnesium can decrease the absorption of biphosphonates. Doses of magnesium and biphosphonates should be separated by at least 2 hours. Calcium channel blockers: Magnesium could have an added blood pressure lowering effect. Use with caution especially if taking high doses of magnesium. Corticosteroids: Corticosteroids increase urinary magnesium excretion. Potassium sparing diuretics: These diuretics are also magnesium sparing potentially leading to increased levels with concomitant magnesium supplementation. Quinolone antibiotics: Magnesium can form insoluble complexes with quinolone antibiotics leading to reduced absorption. Individuals should take these medicines at least two hours before or four to six hours after magnesium. Tetracycline antibiotics: Magnesium can form insoluble complexes with tetracycline antibiotics leading to reduced absorption. Individuals should take these medicines at least two hours before or four to six hours after magnesium. |
