The Lyra Polycolor pencils are excellent for doing design sketches and adding some colour to your pencil work. They lay down colour very nicely and are great to blend with normal pencils and to blend colours with themselves. 72 colours are very good, well chosen tones. The flesh tones are great with 3 tones, dark, medium and light. There is quite a few yellows that are nice and vibrant. The box also includes a SPLENDOUR pencil which you use to go over a colour area to make to denser and also glossy! Perfect for artworks and also if you doing a pencil crayon piece. Also great if you just colouring in. Normal cheap pencil crayons have that horrible waxy effect where the colour doesn't transfer on to paper properly and you can't blend the colours into each other. LYRA REMBRANDT are easy to blend and they transfer their colour VERY WELL to paper! I recommend these beautiful pencil crayons! Oh and the box is very sturdy metal and quite pretty!
