English summary: For the sake of their own identity, churches keep referring to documents from their own history, especially from their founding history. Churches are aware that these documents record fundamental decisions that remain relevant for their self-image. With the help of such texts, it is possible to clarify how churches can fulfill their mandate and how Christians can live their faith and lives in practice. This volume presents the three key documents of the Bernese Reformation in the form of an accessible contemporary translation: the "Disputationsthesen" (disputation theses), the "Reformationsmandat" (mandate for reformation) and the "Berner Synodus" (a code of conduct for parish priests). These papers distinguished the Bernese church and defined its unique nature. Both the disputation theses as well as the Berner Synodus provided reformed theology with significant insights, and some of its passages are regarded as jewels of the Reformation.
