This approach has led him to be regarded as something of a maverick by more orthodox therapist. Lucy King trained as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist with the Philadelphia Association. She works in private practice and for the Cambridge University Counseling Service. She was a founder member of the Cambridge Society of Psychotherapy.
